AI & Data Use

AI is used for specific tasks: turning what you type or say into a structured task, drafting short reminders, and answering free-form questions in Chief of Staff. Simple tasks route to a cheaper model; reasoning tasks route to a stronger one.

The Service supports Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude and OpenAI through one adapter layer. The provider used for a given task is set by configuration; you can also bring your own key for a provider of your choice.

We are not locked to a single vendor and can change the provider for a task via configuration, without changing what data is sent.

We send only the text needed for the request: your prompt plus the relevant slice of your workspace context. We do not send your entire workspace, and we instruct the model not to fabricate facts about your data.

With bring-your-own-key, requests go directly from your browser to the provider using a key stored only on your device; that key is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

We do not use your content to train our own models. The AI providers we support offer API tiers that do not use API data to train their models; we use those tiers when we enable a provider. Any change would be reflected here first.

AI features are optional. You can use the app without AI, remove a bring-your-own-key at any time, and delete any AI-assisted content like any other content.
